More than a 100 million non-EU users might have jumped at the prospect of trying out Threads. This, despite privacy concerns and even the prospect of having to dump their Instagram accounts if they wanted out of Threads.

Media reports, quoting Sensor Tower Data and Similarweb, reported that daily active users fell by about 20% from Saturday, while time spent fell by 50% from 20 minutes to 10 minutes.
The platform has also run into regulatory hurdles in the EU, compounding its troubles.
